How do rematches work?

When a match ends, either player can ask for a rematch against the same opponent.

Asking for a rematch

1. On the end-of-match screen, tap Rematch. This works for about 1 minute after the match ends.
2. Your opponent has about 45 seconds to tap Accept Rematch or Decline.
3. If you change your mind while you're waiting, tap Cancel Rematch.
4. If your opponent accepts, a new match starts with the same settings: length, clock, cube and stake.

When a rematch won't start

• Your opponent declined, which shows as Rematch Declined, or didn't answer in time.
• One of you doesn't have enough coins for the stake.
• One of you already has another game in progress.
• New matches are temporarily switched off, for example during server maintenance.
• A rematch can only be requested once per match.
