How do Lessons work?

Lessons are sets of backgammon problems grouped by topic. Each problem shows a position and asks you to choose the best play.

Taking a lesson

1. On Home, tap Lessons.
2. Choose a difficulty (Easy, Medium or Hard), then choose a lesson.
3. Tap Start Lesson. Pick your answer for each problem and tap Confirm.
4. You can leave at any time. Your progress is automatically saved, and you can pick up where you left off with Resume.
5. When you've finished, tap View Result to see your score and the Lesson Score Chart.
6. To try a lesson again, tap Replay Lesson. This clears your previous progress for that lesson.

Free vs Star

• Free members can try the first part of each lesson. When you reach the end of the free problems, you'll be asked to upgrade.
• Star and StarPRO members get Unlimited lessons.

Other ways to practise

• Practice vs AI: play the computer with hints and feedback. See How do I practise against the computer (AI)?
• RushGammon: fast-paced decision training. See How does RushGammon work?
• Blunders (Star and StarPRO): open the menu and tap Blunders to go back over positions where you made mistakes in your own games, grouped by type of position.
• Match reviews: tap Analysis on Home and go through any of your matches.
